Thin meets Thick

FLUX-GERÄTE GMBH presented its range of high viscosity pumps. Providing solutions for all applications, users have benefited from products for the thorough and reliable transfer and emptying of high-viscosity substances for years. The pumps are constructed according to the eccentric screw principle and can be configured to the respective application. The latest product is a high-viscosity pump with an outside diameter of only 28 millimetres.

"Our rather broad program of high-viscosity pumps allows us to offer solutions for a large variety of viscous fluids. This includes, amongst others, oils, greases, lubricants, paints, varnishes, dispersions, creams solutions, salves, pastes, gels, shampoo, honey, dough or even chocolate material", emphasizes Heinz Hofmann, sales manager of FLUX-GERÄTE GMBH. "Thus FLUX pumps are suitable to be used in very diverse industry segments." The pumps are constructed from stainless steel according to the eccentric screw principle and can be customized to a wide variety of applications.

No residues left

The problem is quite common: High-viscosity substances are difficult to pump. In addition, the barrels can often not be emptied completely when filling and refilling them. For these applications FLUX has been offering a broad assortment of powerful pumps for many years. For examples, pumps of the model series XA and XB are suitable to transfer easily flammable liquids with approvals for Zone O area. The experts from FLUX Germany have pumps available with 3A approval to meet the hygienic demands in the food industry. In order to make materials flow which are basically too thick, FLUX carries the barrel drainage system VISCOFLUX in its program, which allows 200 litre barrels with highly viscous substances to be emptied quickly and reliably down to a negligible residual quantity.

FLUX pumps with mechanical seals, stators and eccentric screws can be customised to the respective applications. They are available with gear units and light-weight but powerful single phase and compressed air motors with bearing flanges powered by robust three-phase motors. The products can be easily dismantled and cleaned with only a few steps. With some versions the eccentric screw pumps with cardan shaft and mechanical seals can be dismantled even without additional tools.

Small and yet powerful

As the latest product of its high-viscosity pump series FLUX presented a new pump for high-viscosity substances with a small outside diameter pump tube. It is particularly suitable for the thorough and reliable delivery and drainage of substances from barrels with narrow openings. According to Heinz Hofmann, "our latest eccentric screw pump tube is only 28 mm outside diameter which fits even into the narrowest barrels". With an eccentric screw of only 10 mm in diameter the pump experts from FLUX Germany present a very powerful pump. The model F 550 S-28/10, made of stainless steel, is suitable for high viscosity substances from 300 mPas. It is designed to deliver high viscosity, still flowable substances, up to 20,000 mPas. These may be products, for example, from the field of mechanical engineering as well as products from the areas of cosmetics, chemical or pharmaceutical industries. Depending on the speed of the motor and the flow rate of the medium, the pump capacity is maximum 2 l/min at a delivery pressure of up to 20 bar. "The user can adjust our new slim model exactly to his specific situation by choosing individual components", emphasizes Heinz Hofmann. For example, there is the pump with a single-phase AC motor and also with a three-phase motor with a wattage of up to 0.75 kW.
